A jury acquitted the two New York City police officers accused of raping an East Village woman, while on duty.

Officers Kenneth Moreno and Franklin Mata were found not guilty Thursday by a Manhattan jury. Following the verdict, Officer Moreno said he thought the woman "made the whole thing up," and warned other officers about dealing with intoxicated women.

"Be very, very, very careful," he said. "Dot your i's and cross your t's."
