The Police Unity Tour kicked off National Police Week Monday, as officers donned blue-and-white cycling outfits and began their ride to D.C. in honor of fallen officers from 2010.
The Unity Tour was organized by Officer Patrick P. Montuore of the Florham Park Police Department in 1997. It began with 18 riders on a four day fund-raising ride from Florham Park to Washington D.C.
The group has raised more than $8 million for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
