Detroit Cop Killer Gets Life

The 11-year-old son of Detroit Police Officer Brian Huff stood up at the sentencing hearing of his father's convicted killer and said, "I don't know why you had to take my dad away. I don't know why you had to do this. He was a nice man. He was doing his job."
Jason Gibson, 26, was later sentenced to mandatory life in prison for the May 2010 murder of Huff, as well as the shooting of four other officers.

You have GOT to be kidding me....LIFE IN PRISON? He killed one officer and wounded 4 others - does Michigan not have the DEATH PENALTY?

No, there is no death penalty in Michigan, unfortunately. This state is horribly liberal, and the politicians are far too weak to enact the death penalty here. I certainly wish we had it.

This is sad....He takes the life of an LEO and now spends the rest of his life watching T.V., working out, and playing video games. What a sad world we live in.
