Columbine-Type Bombs Found at Colorado Shopping Mall

Authorities are searching for a "person of interest" seen on a surveillance video frame in connection with the discovery of two bombs at a Littleton, Colo., shopping center.

Late Wednesday, authorities discovered a pipe bomb and two rigged propane canisters after a small fire broke out in a service hallway at the Southwest Plaza mall. The fire was put out at 11:58 p.m.

The subject is described in an FBI release as a white male with graying hair and a silver mustache, wearing a dark-colored cap with a light-colored logo on the front, gray and white horizontally striped shirt, dark jacket with silver buttons, blue jeans, and dark colored shoes.

The fact that the incident occurred on the 12th anniversary of the massacre at Columbine High School, less than two miles away, is not the focus of the investigation, according to a Jefferson County (Colo.) Sheriff's Office spokeswoman.
