Three Men Cause Security Scare at California Military Base

March 31, 2011  |

Three men of Middle Eastern descent were questioned and released, after one stormed the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps base on Sunday.

The men pulled up to the base and claimed they were lost. Criminal investigators say the men, two from Iran, one from Afghanistan, tried to get on the base early Sunday morning, reports KUSI News.

Military police pulled them over searched the cars and ran background checks then let them go. The military claims they're not on a terror list and don't pose a threat.

These guys may not be on a "terror list" or "pose a threat", but does anyone doubt that they were gathering valuable intelligence for those that are/do. The Military Police are derelict in their duties if the story truly ends with letting them go.
