Former NYPD Cop Strangled Wife, Dumped Body, Prosecutors Say

Eddy Coello has been charged with the strangulation death of his estranged wife, whose body was found last week by two ATV riders near a golf course.

Coello, who was a New York City police officer for four years until he resigned in 2000, was a person of interest in the disappearance of Tina Adovasio, 40. The 38-year-old Coello had previously faced domestic violence charges, reports the New York Times.
