Probationary Conn. Cop Suspended for Assault

A probationary Hartford (Conn.) Police officer has been suspended without pay for allegedly assaulting a 17-year-old student at an alternative education school, reports the Hartford Courant.
Officer Kevin T. Brodie, who's been on the job 7-1/2 months, was charged with second-degree strangulation, second-degree unlawful restraint and third-degree assault.
