California Officer Shoots 16-Year-Old During Knife Attack

A Garden Grove (Calif.) Police officer shot and killed a 16-year boy during a Wednesday evening altercation involving three teens, after the boy stabbed him with a knife, reports the Los Angeles Times.

The three had robbed a 41-year-old woman of her cell phone and some personal items before being confronted by officers.
