Indiana Suspends Parole Officer Who Monitored Indy Cop's Alleged Killer

Investigators are still attempting to link Hardy to Moore's shooting and have been given until Friday by a judge to charge him with the crime.

The parole officer responsible for monitoring the suspect police say fatally shot Indianapolis Metro Police Officer David Moore has been suspended, reports the Indianapolis Star.

The Indiana Department of Correction on Monday had acknowledged that errors it made caused Thomas X. Hardy to be released when he shouldn't have been. Hardy, 60, is suspected of fatally shooting Moore, and then robbing a 99 Cent store 45 minutes later.

Investigators are still attempting to link Hardy to Moore's shooting and have been given until Friday by a judge to charge him with the crime.
