Civil Jury Favors Slain Autistic Man's Relatives In LAPD OIS

A civil jury has ruled in favor of the family of an autistic man who was shot by a Los Angeles Police officer in 2008.
An internal probe had largely cleared former LAPD Officer Joseph Cruz, who found Mohammad Usman Chaudhry laying near bushes behind a Hollywood apartment building, reports the Associated Press. Cruz fatally shot Chaudhry, saying the man lunged at him with a knife.
