Oakland School Officer Shoots Screwdriver Attacker

An Oakland school police officer shot a man who plunged a screwdriver into his partner's ballistic vest, reports the San Francisco Chronicle.

The officers had approached a suspicious vehicle near Skyline High School on Saturday evening when the attack occurred. The officer returned fire, after the driver stabbed his partner, killing the attacker.

report is completely inaccurate.. please retry this one. officers shot and killed the passenger in the vehicle, not the driver. also, they did not 'return fire'.. there was no fire to return.. alleged stabbing motions with a screwdriver do not qualify as weapon discharge.
