Chicago Man Shot After Attempting To Run Down Officer

A 29-year-old Southside man was fatally shot by a Chicago Police officer he had attempted to run down after a vehicle stop in a high-crime neighborhood, reports the Chicago Tribune.
The officer discharged his firearm at 1:52 a.m. Saturday after fearing for his life, police said. Troy Davis was pronounced dead a the scene.
