Samuel Ventura, 20, has been arrested in Connecticut for allegedly firing a round into a New York Police detective's buttocks, after the officer attempted to play peacekeeping during a fender bender, reports the New York Daily News.

Ventura apparently wounded NYPD Det. Richard Olmo, 43, when Olmo identified himself as an officer to stop the feud in the parking lot of the Pelham Bay Diner in Brooklyn.

A Ventura associate is expected to also be charged for kicking the wounded officer.
