N.J. Senate Caps Police Raises at 2 Percent

The New Jersey state Senate has approved a bill that would limit police and firefighter raises to 2 percent, if no contract agreement can be reached, reports the Star-Ledger.
The agreement would be in effect for three years following its January enactment.
