NYPD Cuts Officer Holiday Work

The New York Police Department issued a directive banning its officers from working shifts during scheduled vacation, as a budget-saving move, reports the New York Post.
Officers who have obtained approval for "working" vacation shifts won't be affected. The move is estimated to save $4.1 million annually.
