Colorado Deputy Killed In Gunfight With GTA Suspect

Weld County (Colo.) Sheriff's Deputy Sam Brownlee was fatally shot by a suspect deputies pulled over south of Greeley, reports the Denver Post.
The incident began when a Morgan County Sheriff's deputy and Wiggins police officer spotted a car Ruben Reyes, 20, had stolen from a woman he knew.
Reyes headed into Greeley and began driving south. The Colorado State Patrol used Stop Stick tire deflation devices to end the pursuit.
Two Weld County Sheriff's deputies, including Brownlee, and an Evans police officer who had taken over the pursuit approached the damaged vehicle after it came to rest in a residential neighborhood.
Reyes killed Brownlee, and was then fatally shot by another officer.
