Suspect Fires on Miami Officer During Condo Eviction

A police officer and building-maintenance employee were injured Monday, when a man they arrived to evict opened fire from inside the dwelling, reports the Miami Herald.
The employee was fatally shot when he began to open the door, after the owner didn't answer. The man then fired at the officer, striking him with a round before he was taken into custody in an ensuing scuffle. The officer's injuries are not life-threatening.
