Detroit Officer Shoots Burglar During Scuffle In Beauty Store's Dark Basement

A Detroit Police officer was able to subdue a burglary suspect who jumped him in the dark basement of a beauty supply store by firing on the man and arresting him, reports the Detroit Free-Press.
The officers responded to Amy's Wig & Beauty Supply in the 13500 block of West 6 Mile at about 5:30 this morning after getting a 911 call. While the officer was inside the basement, the suspect lunged at him and attempted to grab his gun.
