Guard Attacked By Inmate In October Succumbs to Injuries

A Crawford County, Pa., corrections officer severly beaten by an inmate in October has died as a result of his injuries, reports the Erie Times-News.
Gary M. Chapin, 49, died today at the Wesbury United Methodist Community in Meadville. He had been severely beaten by an inmate at the Crawford County Correctional Facility in Saegertown on Oct. 13.
