N.C. Man Shot After Charging Officers With Bat

A Salisbury (N.C.) police officer fatally shot James Richard Brown, who had charged officers with a baseball bat, reports the Charlotte Observer.
Officer J.R. Cable had given Brown, 46, several lawful commands to drop the weapon that were ignored. Brown had assaulted his father with the bat, police said.
