Philly PD Seeks Donations To Bring Back Mounted Unit

The Philadelphia Police Department's mounted unit could return next year, if the department collects enough funds from public donors to support the unit, reports the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Officials hope to establish the unit with $2 million for 10-12 hours. The unit was cut for budgetary reasons in 2004.
