Off-Duty Houston Cop Fires on Truck Thief

An off-duty Houston police officer who came out of his house after hearing the blaring of the alarm on his pickup truck, shot and wounded a suspect he caught breaking into the vehicle, reports the Houston Chronicle.
Officer R.O. Carreon, who has been on the force since 2006, fired on the suspected thief with a shotgun and wounding the man, who was arrested after driving to LBJ Hospital following the shooting.
