N.Y. Cop Shoots, Kills ATV Rider After Chase

Pelham Manor (N.Y.) Police shot and killed a man during a "violent struggle," after he refused to pull over an unlicensed off-road vehicle and led officers on a pursuit into the Bronx, reports the New York Daily News.
Wardell Johnson, 43, was riding the four-wheeler he had just purchased in Connecticut for his son, when officers attempted to pull him over. He led officers on a pursuit that ended when the ATV ran out of gas.
A violent struggle ensued and Johnson was fatally shot.

Read the story in the NY Post (NOT The Daily News). http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/bronx/slain_by_cop_man_raps_BmK17PgI7zvQHf00PzowqM The Post doesn't try to hide the fact that Johnson has a mile long rap sheet, arrested for kidnapping, assault, weapons charges and served time for Murder.
