3 Fired Dallas Officers Indicted in Beating of Motorcyclist

Dallas Police Chief David Brown, in disciplining the officers earlier, said they not only attacked the motorcyclist physically, but also tried to conceal their conduct. All three were fired.

Three fired Dallas police officers were indicted today on charges related to the videotaped beating of a motorcyclist earlier this month.

The chief earlier released two in-car videos, one of which shows Southeast Patrol Officers Kevin Ray Randolph and Paul Gregory Bauer beating Andrew Joseph Collins, 28, with a baton and fists on the side of a South Dallas street on the night of Sept. 5. The second video shows Officer Henry Walter Duetsch move an in-car camera as he whistles.
