Man Shot By LAPD Used Three Names

The Guatemalan day laborer shot by a Los Angeles Police Department officer has been linked to three different names, the Los Angeles Times reports.
The man shot and killed was initially identified as Manuel Jamines, 37. But coronor's investigators identified him as Manuel Ramirez based on a fingerprint match with the U.S. Department of Justice. They also found U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement documentation identifying him as Gregorio Luis Perez with a 1984 birth date.
LAPD Officer Frank Hernandez shot and killed the man, who is alleged to have threatened passers-by with a knife.
