A Dane County (Wis.) Sheriff's deputy fired on a fleeing vehicle, after the driver hit him with the car during a traffic stop, the Wisconsin State Journal reports.
The unnamed deputy, a 10-year veteran, pulled over a car driven by Steven A. Green, 44, at 7:10 p.m. Saturday, because it was missing a license plate.
After being pulled over in a parking lot, Green allegedly drove the vehicle into the deputy, knocking him down. The deputy fired two shots, hitting the car with one round.
At about 7:30 p.m., deputies pulled over the car matching the description and arrested Green.
