Shot Suspect Struggled With Georgia Deputy In Cruiser's Backseat

Richmond County (Ga.) Sheriff's Deputy Walter Garrison fatally shot a 22-year-old man who scuffled with the deputy in the backseat of the cruiser and was later found to have been armed on Monday, the Augusta Chronicle reports.
Kevin Brayano Pao of Rockville, Md., was found in the back seat of the patrol car with a nylon bag over his shoulder and a semiautomatic handgun concealed in a shirt between his legs, according to the report. Pao had apparently removed the gun from the bag.
Garrison began patrol duties with the agency in May.
