Utah Deputy Fatally Shot By Suspect, Manhunt Under Way

A Kane County (Utah) Sheriff's deputy was shot and killed at the end of a foot pursuit Thursday evening by a suspect with a high-powered rifle round, Fox13 reports.
Law officers are now searching for Scott Curley, 23, who is alleged to have killed the deputy using a rifle with an attached scope.
The deputy, who has not been identified, followed Curley Kanal in south Kane County into Arizona near Fredonia. A manhunt now underway involves local Arizona and Utah deputies, as well as the U.S. Marshal's Service.
