Obama Signs Border Security Bill That Adds 1,500 Agents

President Obama signed a $600 million bill on Friday that would pay for the addition of 1,500 new Border Patrol agents, increase unmanned drone patrols and add border stations along the U.S.-Mexico border, reports the New York Times.
The new resources will be paid for by steep increases on visa fees for high-tech workers brought to the U.S. by Indian companies who bring in thousands of temporary employees each year.
Republicans said the bill was "more of an effort to recieve positive press" than to improve the border situation.
