Man Attacks Boston Transit Officer With Silver Cane

August 10, 2010  |

A Dorchester man has been taken into custody today for attacking a MBTA Transit Police Department officer outside the Dudley Square police station, the Boston Globe reports.

Henry L. Alexander is accused of yelling at the officer at 7:15 a.m., as he walked from his personal vehicle. The man saw the officer later, after the officer changed into uniform, and swung the cane at the officer's head, knocking off his uniform cap.

The incident was caught on surveillance video, which is included with the Globe report.
