August 06, 2010  |

A suspect who threatened to kill officers in a South Los Angeles police station led Los Angeles officers on a half-hour pursuit where he drove the wrong way on a one-way street, crashed into another vehicle and caused a cruiser to hit a palm tree, the Los Angeles Times reports.

The chase was aired on local television and ended at 2:37 p.m., KTLA reports.

The man was taken into custody, when officers broke out the window of the vehicle and used a Taser.
