Illinois Chief Allegedly Attacked State Candidate

The police chief in a Chicago suburb is under investigation, after needing to be restrained during an alleged attack against a state political candidate over campaigning in a housing subdivision, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Democrat Scott Pollak, a candidate for a House seat, claims Antioch Police Chief James Foerster had to be restrained by Mayor Larry Hanson and a police officer during a July 27 meeting.
