Murder Suspect Runs for Police Chief

The prime suspect in a murder case is running for chief of the Zachary (La.) Police Department in an Oct. 2 election, WAFB reports.
David Brown, a former corrections officer, is running for the post against John Herty, the existing chief. The department has named Brown as a suspect in the death of his fiance Tamara Dupuy, who was found handcuffed and shot in a laundromat.
