Suspect Faces Murder One In Chicago Officer's Killing

Bryant Brewer, 24, of Chicago will face first-degree murder charges related to his ambush killing of Officer Thor Soderberg, who he allegedly killed after disarming him of his service weapon, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Soderberg, 43, was working a detail dedicated to addressing youth violence, when he was jumped outside a facility used by targeted response and gang enforcement units.
The officer was standing near his vehicle, when Brewer jumped him, grabbed his service weapon and fatally shot the officer.
