|
Dontae Morris, suspected of shooting and killing two Tampa police officers during a vehicle stop, turned himself in to police late Friday.
Morris, 24, gave up peacefully, Lt. Stephen Lee told ABC News. A person identified only as an associate of Morris helped arrange the surrender. The associate then brought Morris to a pre-determined location, where police were waiting to take him into custody.
The associate is eligible for the $100,000 reward offered by Tampa PD for his arrest.
Morris allegedly shot and killed officers Jeffrey Kocab and David Curtis, who had pulled him over. Morris was wanted on an outstanding warrant and is a suspect in three additional murders.
