Shoplifter Spits Blood at California Cops

A Chula Vista (Calif.) police officer scuffled with a shoplifting suspect at a J.C. Penney Saturday in an incident that escalated to the suspect spitting blood into the officer's face, the San Diego Union Tribune reports.

Sergio Durazo, 19, was arrested, after he violently resisted an officer's attempts to arrest him. The officer also suffered an injured wrist before being treated at the hospital.
