Man Who Traded Gunfire With Minnesota Deputy Was Firing Into Residence

The St. Louis County (Minn.) Sheriff's deputy who exchanged gunfire with a man outside a residence had responded to a call of a man firing into an occupied residence, myFox9.com reports.
The deputy encountered the man at the home, which was unoccupied, on Saturday. The man produced a "large weapon," according to the report, that he turned on the deputy, who returned fire and killed him.
