Grant Photographed Mehserle With TASER Before Shooting, Prosecutor Says

Oscar Grant photographed Johannes Mehserle holding his TASER in the moments before the former BART officer shot him in the back, the prosecutor announced a day before the trial gets underway today, reports.

Grant is said to have used a cell phone camera to capture an image of the officer, who is now on trial in Los Angeles for murder. Mehserle shot and killed Grant during an arrest in the early hours of New Year's Day 2009 in an incident that was captured on video by five civilian witnesses.
