Phoenix Cop Killer May Face Death Penalty

Maricopa County's top prosecutor may seek the death penalty against Danny Ledezma Martinez, the repeat offender who shot and killed Phoenix Officer Travis Murphy with an AR-type rifle.
Martinez, 30, has been charged with first-degree murder, unlawful flight from law enforcement, burglary and misconduct involving weapons.
He is a convicted felon with a long criminal history that includes sexual assault, burglary, kidnapping, aggravated assault and DUI.
