Newport News Sheriff's deputy Vincent Townes, 41, has been arrested for having sex with an inmate, and is also charged with sneaking items into the jail for inmates.

Newport News Sheriff's deputy Vincent Townes, 41, has been arrested for having sex with an inmate, and is also charged with sneaking items into the jail for inmates, WTKR TV reports.

Townes picked up the inmate while she walked home from work release while in custody and drove her to his home for sex. Townes allegedly also delivered items to the inmate in prison.
