When law enforcement officers pulled over the old, white Plymouth minivan with Jerry Kane, 45, and Joseph Kane, 16, they weren't aware of the extreme, anti-government views fostered by the father and son, the Commercial Appeal reports.
The Kanes, who allegedly killed two West Memphis PD officers and were later killed in a gun battle with officers in a Wal-Mart parking lot, traveled the country giving seminars on "mortgage fraud" and gave foreclosure advice.
The two posted a video (no longer available) on YouTube threatening an IRS agent, and posted rhetoric on a website about "microchips inserted into people's bodies, plots involving the H1N1 vaccine and the contention that U.S. dollars don't constitute real money."
