Obama Thanks Officers for 'Life of Service to Others'

During a speech on the west lawn of the Capitol, President Barack Obama thanked law officers for their service to the country.
On Peace Officers Memorial Day, President Obama thanked law enforcement for ensuring the freedoms that Americans enjoy today, the Daily News reports.
Obama said he was proud of those who chose "to live a life of service to others." The speech was part of National Police Week. The White House has posted the video of the speech on YouTube.
