A Columbus woman's attempt to rob a Chase branch bank was aborted when she noticed a uniformed, yet off-duty, officer standing behind her in line, the Columbus Dispatch reports.
The woman attempted to rob the bank with a ransom note, but fled the bank when she noticed the officer, who then apprehended her outside of the bank.
The woman had stuffed the note in her mouth, then spit it out when arrested by the officer. The note contained a reference to a bomb and threat to kill the teller.
