Judge Delays Release of Hutaree Militia Members

The federal judge who ordered the release of members of the Hutaree militia on bond delayed the move to give prosecutors more time to convince her how the release would harm the government, the Detroit News reports.
The nine members of the Michigan milita will remain in custody until at least 5 p.m. Wednesday. Prosecutors cited the pending funeral of Detroit officer Brian Huff as a reason for the delay because militia members had plotted to kill a police officer and bomb a police funeral.
