BART Fires Second Officer in Fruitville Station Shooting

The BART police officer accused of punching Oscar Grant in the face and calling him a racial epithet has been fired, making him the third officer disciplined in the Fruitville Station incident, the San Francisco BayView reports.
Officer Tony Pirone was seen on cell-phone video punching Grant, then kneeling on him when Officer Johannes Mehserle shot him. Mehserle will go in trial in June.
