The families of the four police officers who were slain by Maurice Clemmons have backed away from a potential $182 million legal claim against Pierce County, the Seattle Times reports.
The news outlet, in an editorial, validates the move, writing that responsibility rests with Clemmons' family members who failed to notify authorities when he told them he planned to kill officers.
