Pennsylvania's 'Jihad Jane' Plotted With Islamists To Murder Cartoonist

Colleen LaRose, who lived in the suburbs of Philadelphia, had linked up with Islamist terrorists overseas to carry out the murder of Lars Vilks, who had depicted the prophet Mohammed's head on the body of a dog.

A Pennsylvania woman who used the alias Jihad Jane when communicating with Islamist co-conspirators via the Internet has been identified in a federal indictment for plotting to kill a Swedish cartoonist, the New York Times reports.

Colleen LaRose, who lived in the suburbs of Philadelphia, had linked up with Islamist terrorists overseas to carry out the murder of Lars Vilks, who had depicted the prophet Mohammed's head on the body of a dog.

Beginning in mid-2008, LaRose began using YouTube, MySpace and other Internet sites to post messages about her desire to help Muslims.
