Identities of Two Deputies Shot in Northern California Released

Fresno County (Calif.) Sheriff Margaret Mims has released the identities of the two deputies involved in Thursday's shooting in Minkler, the Fresno Bee reports.
Slain in the shooting was Dep. Joel Wahlenmaier. He was 49 years old and his current assignment was as a detective investigating homicides and other violent crimes.
The injured deputy is 48-year-old Mark Harris.
Reedley police officer Javier Bajar is in critical condition and on life support.
The shooting prompted a seven-hour standoff that ended when authorities found the suspect dead inside a mobile home.
