State Trooper Ambushed and Killed in Pennsylvania

A state trooper has been shot and killed in Venango County, Pa.
The shooting occurred in the 100 block of Bredinsburg Road in Cranberry Township, where the man responsible for the shooting has not been located.
The shooting occurred after Trooper Paul G. Richey, 40, was called out to a domestic dispute at 11:34 today, along with Trooper Jason Whitman.
The troopers arrived at the scene at approximately 11:45 a.m., according to state police. After they got out of their vehicles, Trooper Richey was hit with a shot fired from the residence. Additional troopers responded and Trooper Richey was removed from the scene.
