Man Held in Shooting of Detroit Officer

A 24-year-old man accused of shooting a Detroit police officer in the leg is in custody after an hours-long search, Police Spokesman John Roach said last night.

The man was found inside a home in the 6400 block of Van Court about 7:30 p.m. The gun used to injure the officer has not been recovered, Roach said.
